There’s power in every story
and we can’t wait for you to dive in! So grab your coffee (or your fave drink) and start exploring…
Hello Sisters in Christ!
I’m really glad you’re here.
I wanted to take a moment to share why I started The Overflowing Grace, and why this message of grace means so much to me.
A little about me, I’m Julie. I’m a wife, a mom to three beautiful and growing girls, a worship leader, and a nurse. Life is full. It’s busy, sometimes overwhelming, and if I’m being honest… there are days when I feel like I’m just trying to keep up with everything.
In the middle of all my roles, there’s one thing I keep coming back to “I need time with Jesus”.
I try to make space for quiet moments with Him, even in the middle of a full day, but I don’t always get it right. There are days I miss it, I feel distracted, and fall short.
And it’s in those exact moments that I’m reminded of something so simple, yet so powerful
Grace.
Why I Started This Blog
I didn’t start this blog because I have everything figured out.
I started it because I don’t.
The Overflowing Grace is just as much for me as it is for you. It’s a space where I can slow down, reflect, and remind myself of what’s true, especially on the days I forget.
I wanted a place where women can come and just be real.
A place where we don’t have to pretend we’re always strong or always okay.
A place where we can talk about faith in the middle of real life, not just the highlight moments, but the messy, ordinary ones too.
This is a space to grow, to be encouraged, and to walk through life together, with God at the center of it all.
Why Grace?
Because salvation through Jesus Christ was given by grace.
The Bible says in Ephesians 2:8–9,
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith… not by works, so that no one can boast.”
We didn’t earn it. We don’t deserve it. And we could never save ourselves on our own.
It is only by the grace of God. And if I’m being honest, I need that reminder every single day.
As women, we carry so much responsibilities, expectations, emotions, and sometimes pressure and we don’t even talk about. It’s easy to feel like we’re not doing enough or not being enough.
But the truth is, none of us have it all together. And we were never meant to.
Grace is God meeting us right where we are, not where we think we should be.
It’s His love covering our weaknesses, His strength showing up in our tiredness, and His presence staying, even when we feel far.
That’s the kind of grace I want to live in. And that’s the kind of grace I want to share here.
Let’s Walk This Together
So I hope this becomes a place where you feel comfortable coming back to.
Not because everything is perfect here, but because it’s real.
Whether you’re in a season of waiting, growing, healing, or just trying to get through the day, I’m so glad you’re here.
So wherever you are right now, take a deep breath and remember His grace is still enough for today.
We’ll take this one step at a time, together.
